Teddy Toys Updated and Half-Price Offer.

I’ve just upgraded all the old Teddy Toys to Toy System 2. They’re now just one prim and work properly with all the newer VKC Dogs.

If you have one of my old Teddy Dog Toys, you can get it updated for free at the Update Stations at my Main Store.
If you already have the single-prim Teddy Dog Toy, it’s still worth stopping by. I updated the texture and I think it looks a lot better.

HALF PRICE FUZZBEE and ROPEBALL OFFER

That’s right Half Price on the two throwing toys, the Fuzzbee and the Ropeball until midnight SLT on Sunday 6th November 2011.

If you’re not sure what these toys are, have a look at the videos. (The videos are only short, about three minutes altogether.) The Fuzzbee and the Ropeball are toys that you really throw for your dog and feature some supberb animations by Solcar Amat (who makes the animations for petting the dogs). It’s all controlled by a simple HUD that you wear on your screen, including how far you throw the toys. Full Instructions are included.

I have updated the Fuzzbee and the Ropeball Toys to the VKC Toy System 2 so that your, Huskies, Golden Retriever and even your Wolves can carry them in their mouths like the rest of the new toys.

If you want to send one of these as a Gift, click on the Vendor and choose “Buy as Gift” from the Menu. The vendor will talk you through what you need to do to send the toys as a gift.

THE SOCK MONKEY GETS A MAKE OVER!

The Sock Monkey is the most popular Vavoom! Toy and I am very pleased to announce that it’s had a total makeover to reduce prims and new code make it compatible with the new VKC Toy System.

That’s right! The Sock Monkey is now ONLY ONE PRIM

AND

It now has the the new VKC Toy System so that the Huskies and the Golden Retriever can carry it properly. (It is, of course, still compatible with your other VKC Dogs.)

AND

…it’s and Active Toy! Just like the original version, all you have to do is put it on the ground near your dogs and let the fun begin.

NEW DOGS!

Unless you’ve been living under a massive pile of breedable animal food, you’ll know that the long awaited VKC Huskies are in the Dog Parks. There are two different Huskies a Black and White one and a Copper one. They are SERIOUSLY adorable and loaded with new features. You can pick up the Release Notes from the Kiosks in the Dog Parks

One small thing to bear in mind: the Huskies are No Transfer. If you want to get one as a gift, you can get them from the VKC listings on the SL Marketplace.

NEW TOYS!

When you read the Husky Release Notes, you’ll see that there is a new Toy System in these dogs. I am very pleased to announce that I’ve got a selection of Husky Ready toys in my store.

All of the original Vavoom! toys will also work with your Husky and I’ll be upgrading more of them to work with the new system in the coming weeks.

You will also find a selection of Free Husky Ready toys in the Kiosks near the clinics in the Dog Parks.
The Husky Ready toys are, as one would hope, compatible with your existing dogs.

Introducing the Vavoom! Balloon Bursting Game

Colourful, noisy, addictive fun for all your VKC dogs! The game rezzes a small field of multi coloured balloons. Your dog rushes in and bursts them as fast as he can. Each time he bursts a balloon it is accompanied by a loud popping noise and a flurry of little coloured particles. When all the balloons are gone, your dog comes back to you and the game stores calls out how long he took to burst them all.

Project Fur News

In case I didn’t say this before, with your help Vavoom! donated L$28,000 to the Project FUR Japan Fundraiser last month. Thank you all for your purchases and contributions.

Project FUR Japan Pledge

Polar Bears, Penguins and Project Fur – Vavoom! News April 2011

Polar Bears, Penguins and Project Fur Just in case you haven’t heard already, the VKC Polar Bear and the VKC Penguin are back! For a limited period you can get your own copy of these wonderful creations at a knock-down price AND contribute to the fabulous Project FUR Japan fund raiser at the same time. 100% of the proceeds of each sale of a Polar Bear or Penguin will be donated to the JEARS charity which is dedicated to helping the animals affected by the Japanese crisis.

But it’s not just the Bear and the Penguin. Enrico announced yesterday that he will donate all the proceeds of his dog sales (any breed from any park) for the next week to Project FUR Japan. So if you’ve been thinking about getting a dog, a new dog or if you know someone that’s even remotely interested in having a VKC Dog, now would be a fantastic time to make that purchase!

Are you wondering where Vavoom! fits into all this? It’s all well and good me crowing about how generous Enrico is, right? But am I going to put my money where my mouth is too?

I am, in two ways:

1. There are two Special Edition Vavoom! accessories on sale at the VKC stand on the Project FUR sim: a Project Fur Fuzzbee toy and a Project Fur Donut bed. The proceeds of both of these are donated to Project FUR in their entirety. You can send the Fuzzbee or the Donut Bed as a gift to a friend or loved one by clicking on the vendor and choosing “Send Gift” from the menu. . .

2. I too am going to pledge a week’s worth of Vavoom! Sales to the cause. Everything that I sell in any of my stores from midnight SLT last night (3 April 2011) to midnight on Sunday 10 April 2011 will go directly to Project FUR. If you’ve been thinking about getting a Sock Monkey or a Fuzzbee, a Basketball game or a new bed, do it this week and help the animals caught in the aftermath of the earthquake and tsunami in Japan.

Dear Everyone,

I’m please to announce that after what seems like an eternity, I’m back in the saddle, creating new dog accessories and I have two new releases month!

Throwable Ropeball Toy
Donut Bed

Ropeball Toy

I teamed up with Solcar Amat again and he made a new throwing animation especially for this toy. It works in the same way as the Fuzzbee: you wear the HUD and the (invisible) hand-held toy then click the HUD and choose a dog name. The HUD script takes over and you bend down to pick up the toy, show it to the dog who waits excitedly for you to throw it and off he goes to fetch it.

The toy is a ball with a rope through it, I’m sure you know the sort of thing. It’s made from one sculpted prim and the best toy script yet. After you’ve played with it a few times, tell your dog to take the toy and you’ll see that even the sculpted-prim dogs hold it in their mouths. Watch out for that in my other toys soon.

The animation is, as you would expect from Solcar, a delight. I have no idea how he made it look like the rope is flexible, but he did. I am so pleased with this, it’s one of the best things he has done to date..

Donut Bed

A comfy new Donut style bed in a velvety finish. Your dogs can get in it together. Touch the bed where you want the dog to go and choose a dog name from the menu, then touch another spot and choose another dog. It’s that easy!

There are nine different colour variations built in to the bed’s menu and it has and all the usual multi-dog bed features you expect from a Vavoom! Bed:

Configurable poses: rest, down, sit, bang etc.
Save the dogs’ sleeping positions so that you can send them all to bed at once next time.
Make the dogs passive when they go to sleep
Wake them up again and make them active.

Sandry’s Robins

This is a special shout out for my old friend and Landlady Sandry Logan who is about to release her Robin which is the first of her new line of virtual pets today. SLURL

I did a little beta testing for this bird and I have to say that I am very impressed with him. This is a little quote from Sandry’s literature:

“The Robin can sing, peck the ground, look all around, turn, hop around on the ground or other surface, or sleep. He has ten different songs and thousands of combinations of movements that he chooses at random. You can name him (or, of course, her) and you can wear him on your shoulder where he will entertain you with song.

The Robin can be instructed to hop around freely, stay in a certain area, stand still, and sleep. He will be equally at home hopping around in the garden, riding on your shoulder, or standing on a wall or branch.”
